Mike performs most of the stuff for the A Perfect Place OST. He brought in a couple of percussionists and a couple of horn players but most was done with his keyboard and samples
Mike Patton is to appear on another game, Turtle Rock Studio’s (now owned by Valve, creators of the Half Life series, Steam and the Source engine) multiplayer co-operative survival horror, Left 4 Dead. Based on the Source Engine, the game teams 4 players up against a horde of infected zombies.
The latest collaboration between Mike Patton and Dan the Automator, Crudo (described as “strange and bizarre R n’ B”) is to debut live at the Sasquatch Festival. No news on an album release date (rumoured 2009 release). The festival runs from the 24th to the 26th of May 2008.
Mike will be voicing Nathan Spencer in the upcoming Capcom release, Bionic Commando, a remake of the 1988 NES game of the same name. There is still no release date as yet for the game.
“ The official companion EP to Palace of Mirrors CD and DVD, available exclusively as a download from Lobefood. You wouldn’t necessarily be wrong in calling this a “Palace of Mirrors” leftovers bin. Perhaps for the hardcore Estradasphere fans only, the Pegasus Vault sheds further light on the Palace CD and DVD thematic material. At one point or another, everything on here was destined for the Palace CD. Despite the ‘cutting room floor’ nature, this really makes a great playing EP that works on it’s own. This also gives fans the ability to start making their own playlists of the complete Palace. In addition to the EP you will also get an extras folder of stuff that didn’t fit the flow of the EP. Over an hour of new tracks on this download brings the Palace Era officially to a close.

The Mark of Cain are entering the studio this month for the first time since 2001 to record a new album. The album will be released independently after the band split from BMG in 2004.
The band consists of John Scott (Guitar/Vox), Kim Scott (Bass) and John Stanier (drums – Tomahawk, Battles, ex-Helmet). Their style is unique but can be likened to Helmet and they are well known in Australia for putting on a brutal live show. The band has been absent from the Australian music scene due to Stanier’s hectic schedule and John and Kim both having families and careers.
