From Ipecac:
“OOOppoooopsie!
So, just to let you know that the Isis “Holy Tears” Cd single has been corrected. As some of you know, a handful of singles were sent out with the wrong tracks on them. This was a limited problem and has been rectified. We’ve been told it had something to do with too much cough syrup. Anyway, when you buy the “Holy Tears” single now, you actually get “Holy Tears”, neat, huh? If you have one of the mistakes please return it to your point of purchase or keep it as a collectors item rarity. “

A few changes over at trevordunn.net with the release of a new website and a news update from T.Dunn. He has formed two new bands this year, Proof Readers, described as “simply a vehicle for playing the music of Ornette Coleman” and MadLove, “Music that has girth and is heavy but is also carefully constructed; melodic motion, rich harmonies, and not too predictable“. Both sound like they will be very interesting. Check out the whole news update.

Old I know but oh so funny. Thought some of you guys may not have seen this. BTW wolfmother are a shithouse aussie band that think they are zeppelin.
Pretty brief and underwhelming interview, and those characters are kind of annoying…..

From comments:
“It is I!!! The Phantom of the Umlaut!!!! Seriously though folks… I play guitar in the band, and I must say- our progress has been great. Tightening up the tunes for the upcoming gig at Ding Dong lounge on the 27th of March (Next Thursday,) has been a blast, as I’m hearing these tunes really fleshed out to their full potential. The re-introduction of vibraphone and loads of exotic percussion is really adding to the already organic and filmic vibe of a lot of these compositions- which are really coming alive before my very eyes!!!! As a longtime fan of Bär’s- it gives me great pleasure to work with the guy!!! I mean this fella wrote a bunch of my favorite compositions… go figure…
In any case, whoever is interested come down to the Ding Dong… we’re guaranteed not to disappoint!Oh and by the by, I’ve heard the Patton track, and it’s sounding great!!! Some kinda interesting new sounds from him as well as a bitchen ass catchy melody!!!
No shit!!!”
Umläut play this Thursday 27th March at the Ding Dong in Melbourne with special guests Lan Party, Sex on Toast and Vicious Cyclists. Doors open at 8pm.
