Allegedly Faith No More are facing the possibility of a large fine from the Reading Festival due to their set running long by 30 minutes. The BBC have some nice coverage of the recent UK Faith No More activity with their Reading FNM photo Gallery, along with their Faith No More at the Edinburgh Edge Festival photo gallery and subsequent Edge Festival write-up.
The BBC pro shot video footage of Faith No More’s Reading and Leeds show has hit the net, download it via torrent here, and check out a not so glowing review of the Dublin show here. FNM2.0 has the Reading setlist covered along with a link to an NME review of the show, and lastly check out the latest FNM Second Coming tour posters over at Inside the Rock Poster, purchasable from The Secret Serpents Store.
Next up, Faith No More play Tel Aviv, Israel on September 1st. As always keep an eye on FNM2.0 for all the latest FNM goss.

Rumour has it (and according to La Tercera), the support role for Faith No More’s Chile show (29 October) is going to be either The Melvins or Trevor Dunn’s new band MadLove. Why not add them both and make it the Geek Show 2.0? Either way that’s going to be a nice line up for those lucky Chileans!
Hat tip to FNM2.0 and Patton Archivo

In a recent interview at the Wormwood Chronicles, Dave Lombardo was asked about his current plans for working with Mike Patton:
“WC: Are you still involved with Mike Patton?
Lombardo: No, but that door has never completely shut. Me and Mike will work together in the future, I believe, if schedules permit. He’s great, I love his music, all of the stuff that we’ve done.
There’s always a chance.Right now, I’m focusing on trying to find a band that I could share my production experience with. Going to the studio with them and working with them in the same way producers have worked with me. I want to take my knowledge and apply it to bands that are up and coming.”
Is Fantomas officially over? My impression was that Terry Bozzio was a fill in while Dave was busy working with Slayer and that a Lombardo filled Fantomas would eventually take centre stage again. But Lombardo not ruling out working with Patton again is a good sign. So what’s your opinion on this?
Thanks to FNM2.0 for the interview tip

In a recent interview in Rolling Stone, Chuck mentioned that he was invited to take part in a duet with Mike Patton:
“They actually invited me to come out [to Europe] and sing a duet with Mike Patton. But unfortunately, my passport expired and I couldn’t get it in time.”
He also mentions Jim Martin’s sacking and talks about his new album, “Will Rap over Hard Rock for Food”.
Check it out.
