The next installment of John Zorn’s Moonchild series and the follow-up to 2008′s The Crucible, Ipsissimus has just been released via Tzadik. Featuring Mike Patton, John Zorn, Trevor Dunn, Joey Baron and Marc Ribot, the Moonchild series is in my opinion one of the most interesting collections of music to appear on the label, and Ipsissimus is sure to not disappoint:

Looks like things are happening again in the Faith No More camp. Following on from yesterdays Chilean Finale announcement, Billy and Roddy have just announced via twitter that they will be playing the Hollywood Palladium on November 30. Fan pre-sale will happen September 15 at 10am.

Billy’s announcement:

“HELLO! We’re gonna play LA!!! Nov. 30, Hollywood Palladium. We’re gonna do a fan presale to f%ck the scalpers. Passord: Wed, Sept 15, 10am”

and Roddy’s:

“FNM show at the Hollywood Palladium, people! Nov 30. Fan pre-sale Sept 15, 10am, we’ll give yous the password here for tix that morning.”

In Billy’s latest tweets, and later reiterated by Roddy, Faith No More will be ending the reunion tour with a bang Chilean style with the closer to what has been a hugely successful tour to happen in Santiago on December 5:

“TOURDATE NEWS! Santiago, Chile. DEC 5…. Our Final Show of FNM Reunited 2.0….”

He also hinted at the possibility of a few shows occurring prior to the Chile Finale:

“Santiago will be the big party, but there might be a show or two before that…so stay tuned…..”

And from Roddy:

“it’s true, we’re giving Santiago what they’ve asked for. we’re wrapping up the FNM reunited tour in Santiago, Chile on December 5!!!!”

This confirms what was already widely known that there will be no extensive U.S tour for the Faith No More 2.0 reunion. Also apparently (according to Puff) Primus will be opening for Faith No More’s Chilean finale.

Ipecac have just announced that Mike Patton‘s Mondo Cane will be playing at this years Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival, a free festival help in Golden Gate park, San Francisco.

According to Ipecac, Mondo Cane are due to play October 3rd on the Star stage right. This will be the first U.S show for Mondo Cane and I’m sure a lot of our American friends are hoping for lots more dates. (I’m still pinning my hopes on the Sydney Opera House Mondo Cane show coming true that Mike mentioned to me)
