Just been reading through this and it is a great read. Intimate details of the recording process day by day of the Mark of Cain’s newest album recorded with John Stanier in February after he completed the Battles BDO tour.
The Mark of Cain are entering the studio this month for the first time since 2001 to record a new album. The album will be released independently after the band split from BMG in 2004.
The band consists of John Scott (Guitar/Vox), Kim Scott (Bass) and John Stanier (drums – Tomahawk, Battles, ex-Helmet). Their style is unique but can be likened to Helmet and they are well known in Australia for putting on a brutal live show. The band has been absent from the Australian music scene due to Stanier’s hectic schedule and John and Kim both having families and careers.
