Zorn’s Cobra at Yoshi’s: Spruance, Patton, Dunn
Just missing the aussie contingent, Bar Mckinnon and Danny Heifetz to make this a full blown Bungle shindig. Maybe one day (soon?) I can dream……

Recently I had the pleasure of chatting to Bär McKinnon. The interview covers everything from where Kitty Puppy got its title, to Umlaut’s origins and Bär’s thoughts on a Mr Bungle reunion and their unreleased music; along with some great insights into the Bungle dynamic.
If you’re yet to hear the Umlaut album, you’re about to be converted. Atlas Face, Kitty Puppy and Work Truck all feature in this comprehensive interview. A word of warning, there is 29 minutes of audio here, so settle in and get comfy!
The interview is available for download here (megaupload: RAW WAV: 164.12 MB) (mp3 version on rapidshare here)
A shorter version was aired on my radio show but this is the full interview, so enjoy – another Stubbadub exclusive!

So hopefully everyone that reads here has seen this but I thought I’d mention it. I just remembered it existed the other day and thought I’d post it just in case someone hasn’t seen it. Download the original video of Lunchroom Manners which features in Mr Bungle’s Self Titled album.

(TIP: It’s not great)
Aural Exploits has a limited edition (1000), green vinyl version of Mr Bungle’s Disco Volante available with the 7?. http://www.auralexploits.com/product_5994.htm
I need a new record player, anyone got any suggestions? (preferrably in australia)

Now that the Disco Volante vinyl re-release has almost seen the light of day (fingers crossed), it looks like the Mr Bungle self titled album is next. Release date TBD.
Thanks to Fantomnomore for the news tip.

How odd…..some Mr Bungle news? Mr. Bungle’s Disco Volante is being reissued by Plain Recordings around July or August this year along with the original 7 incher accompaniment.
Amazon Description:
“US 180 Gram Vinyl Pressing. ONE OF THE MOST UNCOMPROMISING AND ADVENTUROUS MAJOR LABEL RELEASES OF THE ’90S, MR BUNGLE’S SECOND ALBUM, ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN 1995, AN ‘ALTERNATIVE’ RECORD ONLY IN THE VAGUEST SENSE OF THE WORD. INCORPORATING DEATH METAL, FREE JAZZ, EXPERIMENTAL ELECTRONICA, AND AMBIENT SOUNDTRACKS, ALONG WITH MIKE PATTON‘S OUTRAGEOUS VOCAL STYLE, ‘DISCO VOLANTE’ IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT AND GROUNDBREAKING RELEASE OF PATTON‘S STORIED CAREER, AND THAT’S SAYING A LOT.”
