hehe yeah i was hoping for some automator and patton footage too. the song sounds a bit different to the one that was around a while back

    • mindbait Says:

i kind of doubt this will be released this year what with the whole FNM thing going on.

still, with no sign of the album being released they’ve already got a bit of recognition and the crudo track “i’m gonna getcha” has been featured on a new movie called “Obsessed”

    • gronk Says:

yeah i heard it was in a movie. if the album is done though the automator can probably cover the fiddly details. it might see light of day later in the year. I’m more keen for Mondo Cane to be honest.

    • mindbait Says:

yeah i just imagine that he wouldn’t want to release it until patton is avaible for touring/promotion

      • gronk Says:

Yeah yr right he probably will want to promote and tour it when it’s ready to go. Good point! I hope he returns to his old projects. I know tomahawk is probably dead but I hope fantomas lives on one day.

    • mindbait Says:

i sort of wonder whether doing a bit of straight ahead rock like FNM (well straight ahead by Patt’s standards) might reinvigorate his love for T-hawk but i’m guessing it’s more likely he’d just pour more energy into peeping tom or something.

    • Gronk Says:

Agh more peeping Tom I can live without. I honestly can’t see how tomahawk will come back. Duane busy, John busy with battles, Kevin history, mike in fnm/crudo/pt. It might happen. I would prefer new fantomas though!

    • mindbait Says:

well it does sound like fantomas is very much on his mind but then i guess he’s also got to fit in crudo, the nevermen and mondo cane (i’m keen for more PT, i know that’s not a view shared by the majority of patton fans though)

as for tomahawk, i wonder after all this time maybe rutmanis has sorted his shit out and they might let him back into the band? i mean IF they were going to do something else

    • gronk Says:

mindbait that’s an idea…….but would he come back? from what he told me they didn’t treat him very well. he heard from a friend that his services were no longer required….. the music industry can be brutal!

    • mindbait Says:

yeah it was supposed to be to do with him having drug problems right? i know patton seems to have been pretty zero tolerance on drugs, slagging off a few famous junkies and drug users in interviews and stuff.

i guess it’s all academic anyway since there’s no tomahawk on the horizon. i think if they were going to do more it would have to come from duane and even if this jesus lizard reunion ends up being just a tour and nothing else he seems like he wants to pour all his creative juices into USSA
