For all the lucky folk going to the Edinburgh gig the awesomely supreme Oceansize are providing support. Get there early and you won’t regret it!

is this FNM you mean?

Yes. The FNM gig tomorrow night. I would advise anyone to forget that last minute drink in the pub and get there PRONTO to avoid missing a hidden gem before the main course.
In saying all of that however, I will be in Glasgow at the Soulsavers / Mark Lanegan gig, but I cannot recommend Oceansize highly enough. Obviously one or more of FNM are fans if they landed this coveted support slot.

Are you going to catch fnm Jimmy or not interested?

At first I was against the reunion and, having seen them half a dozen times at their glorious peak in the past, I wasn’t too bothered about seeing them again.
HOWEVER, after seeing clips of them at various festivals and nagging from the girlfriend AND finding out Oceansize were supporting I wouldn’t have minded seeing going to the gig. Of course, the fact that the gig was sold out in about 5 minutes compounded my hesitant lazy nature. C’est La Vie!
At least I have the consolation of seeing Mark Lanegan.

It was a great gig Gronk. A bit too brief at just one hour but brilliant to see Lanegan as always. The guy could sing the Neighbours theme tune and make it sound hypnotic!
Some individual moments of the VUA are amazing. I like it best when he strays from the heavier stuff and does some lighter poppier tunes. Check out ‘Punk Rock Movie’ and ‘Nameless’ among others.
