Faith No More Big August Roundup

gronk

Allegedly Faith No More are facing the possibility of a large fine from the Reading Festival due to their set running long by 30 minutes. The BBC have some nice coverage of the recent UK Faith No More activity with their Reading FNM photo Gallery,  along with their Faith No More at the Edinburgh Edge Festival photo gallery and subsequent Edge Festival write-up.

The BBC pro shot video footage of Faith No More’s Reading and Leeds show has hit the net, download it via torrent here, and check out a not so glowing review of the Dublin show here. FNM2.0 has the Reading setlist covered along with a link to an NME review of the show, and lastly check out the latest FNM Second Coming tour posters over at Inside the Rock Poster, purchasable from The Secret Serpents Store.

Next up, Faith No More play Tel Aviv, Israel on September 1st. As always keep an eye on FNM2.0 for all the latest FNM goss.

The review of the Dublin show is quite strange. It’s difficult to understand the author’s point.
And it seems even more strange when you check this out:

Don’t know if you have seen it. Easy – the right song for a beautiful stage dive, isn’t it? Well may be the reviewer was a victim of Mike’s hard landing? :-)

tour posters!!!! i was going to buy one in edinburgh, but thought best bet would be wait til the end so it doesnt get crushed!but got pretty drunk and forgot,i was gutted!but a few of my mates said they were a rip-off anyway at 30quid each…but judging by the prices on the link that gronk has added!!30quid seems like a bargain…plus they were signed.

That poster reminds me about Mr. Bungle

Did anyone else download the torrent file. I did took all day crystal clear picture but no sound?????

    • gronk Says:

@cyrillique: I agree it was weird. in fact a lot of reviews from the latest tour have been odd. that one about Brixton was shocking. it’s like they asked around to find who hated the band the most to get them to review it.

    • gronk Says:

@ipecac imposter: the posters look feckn awesome but yeah so expensive….im hoping they bring some aussie ones for signing purposes :)

    • gronk Says:

@Moose: Yep I did and am currently watching it now. audio is fine if a little soft.

    • moose Says:

@ gronk hmmmm Cant hear it on the computer will burn it onto a DVD and play through the Tv

    • gronk Says:

very odd, i would say it’s codecs, but it’s an mpeg so there shouldnt be any encoding one would think. try grabbing a codec pack maybe

    • Bister Mungle Says:

I think the irony is that they are suffering from some of the same problem as last time round – a lot of people not understanding the diversity and, shall we say, humour of the band. Some reviewers come in expecting a big rock show, or something else but in any case expecting something that isn’t FNM! Edinburgh was, of course, amazing although it couldn’t top Brixton. Never thought I’d see them twice, never mind once!

Any word on this big fine from Reading?

    • gronk Says:

yeah yr probably right. nah havent heard anything else yet. might be just a rumour.

    • Jim Bowen (Mark's dad) Says:

Are they metal? Are they rock? Are they leftfield pop? Are they rap? Are they avant-garde?

Are most music critics thick as fuck? That’s one question I could answer with some authority.

These flapjack heads would rather watch 2-3 hours of a shitty monotonous Oasis or U2 show because they can’t conmprehend something that cannot be pigeonholed.
