      do you know what are the venues like? or – if you were going to fly across the world which venue would you rather see FNM in? thanks!

      ok so im a sydney boy so i’ll be at the hordern but it’s not a great venue. Melbourne would be the pick i would wager.

      its a hard pick and you’ll no doubt find someone who will tell you both are the ‘best’, i would say;
      HORDERN (SYD)
      - venue is fairly central to city (10-15 mins walk to train) but might want cab/bus to head out afterwards.
      - layout is level floor GA with tiered seating on 3 sides about 15 rows each (popular so arrive early if you wanna sit)
      - bar access is pretty good and toilet turnover also good (harder for the ladies as always)
      - stage space is medium/large and plenty of room for good light set-up and/or props/backdrop
      - non smoking but i think that is true of all australian venues by law these days.

      FESTIVAL HALL (MELB)
      - rectangular shape of the venue means you’re close to the stage wherever you are.
      - venue has both GA and seated tix (seat on the balcony is one of the best in town)
      - acoustics are great for heavier bands.
      - beatles played there
      - venue not very central (but still quite easy to get to)
      - get’s very hot in there (where does this not happen)

      Hope that helps!

      Does anyone know if there will be a second FNM show at Festival Hall?

      I got one seated ticket (luckily) but friends missed out (can’t believe it sold out so quickly…) plus there are tickets now selling on ebay for FOUR TIMES THE PRICE! pffttt.
