Faith No More to Play London and Scotland?

gronk

Lot’s of hints coming from all over the place that Faith No More will be playing a couple of solo shows in the UK prior to Download. Word was that Brixton was the place to be, but Brixton are claiming ignorance of the fact. But now Thrash Hits has made some bold statements claiming they have reputable sources to back up the story, and that the dates will be London June 11 and Scotland June 12. It looks like download may be causing a bit of trouble for Billy and co due to some sort of exclusivity deal they may or may not have had with Faith No More.

Guess we just wait and see how it pans out.

Is a return to their spiritual home, the Glasgow Barrowlands’, on the cards? As far as I am aware FNM still hold the record for consecutive nights at this venue (4 in a row).

I could have my arm twisted to go if they played the O2 Academy, which in terms of audio and getting a drink (very important in this part of the world!), is vastly superior to the old lady that is the Barrowlands.

I’d still go for a piss during ‘Epic’ though!

just checked brxn ac & glsw brwlnds sites & they both still have empty slots for 10/11 june. one of roddy’s old tweets confirmed that they’d def wanna do a couple of warm-ups. hope the band deal this out with download. patience is a virtue blahdeblah, but i’m struggling with it in this instance!

I agree. They should return to the Barrowlands just one more time. I couldn’t deal with the o2 academy though. Sure its easy to get a drink there and the barras staff probably still water the beer down. But hey, it it happens just get pished before you get there. Not too pished though.
