[...] DOWNLOAD: Fantomas at Montreux 2005 Stubbadub, which is an excellent site for Mike Patton, Ipecac and other related band news has a few killer shows you can download for free. The first is Fantomas playing at the 2005 Montreux Jazz Festival. Terry Bozio is filling in on drums for the great Dave Lombardo which is pretty sweet. I actually bought a dvd of this show from some Jamaican dude for like $40 two years ago and I gotta say that it’s the shit. “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” is probably my favorite track, so download it HERE. All of this bar Part 1 are broken. Is there anywhere I might be able to get the full show?

just tested all the links. they are all working fine

Okay but when I extract the files (downloaded them all twice now) Part 1 is 408mb (works perfectly) and Part’s 2,3,4 & 5 are all 0 bytes once extracted? It comes up with an error saying all of those files are broken. It looks great and I’d just really like to get this show is all.

are you using winrar to extract the files?
September 15th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
I’m using 7-Zip? I’m clearly no wizz with computers but it works for everything else like Rapidshare etc. and I’ve got things like the K-Lite codec pack and HJ-Split.

you need to use winrar. open the first file in winrar and it will extract all of them in to one file

Thanks a lot for your help. Works perfectly and a great show. Thanks again for the help and also for the links. It’s even better than the Live From London DVD.

no worries good to hear you gotit working
yeah its a good show, interesting to see mike directing bozzio as you can tell he has nfi at some stages

I haven’t watched it in full yet but will do tonight. I converted it to DivX to watch it on my dvd player. From the bits I’ve seen when skipping through just to check that it came out good I thought Bozzio was doing a pretty good job? Patton still does that directing thing with Lombardo and I always took it as it’s just a quirk as Dave obviously doesn’t need it.
I saw Bozzio has notes to follow but for someone just walking into that I was reasonably impressed but yeah will have to watch the full show from start to finish. I read somewhere that Patton wants Bozzio to play with Fantomas again in the future despite Lombardo’s availability. If that’s the case he must’ve impressed Patton a bit considering Bozzio is just a hired gun.

patton directs lombardo only really in the improv page. in this show you can hear bozzio struggle at times and patton have to direct him etc. im a drummer and also obsessed with fantomas/lombardo, so maybe it was a little more obvious for me.

oh yeah bozzio was really impressive. its not easy he did really well! bozzio is a very impressive drummer.

Yeah Im sure you know what you’re talking about. After watching the show in full I did pick up Bozzio missing a couple of cues and what sounded like a few incorrect notes. I’m not a musician or anything just know Suspended Animation pretty well and S/T like the back of my hand.
I just came across a clip of Fantomas doing the Twin Peaks song (Fire Walk With Me, I think) at a festival in Switzerland with Bozzio and his drumming is top notch on that song.

yeah nothing major, he does a great job of filling lombardo’s shoes
