Mondo Cane Tracklist and Release Date
After two years of patiently waiting for the Mondo Cane album to drop, it finally looks like it is about to become reality. We have a tracklist, and a date! The live album is due to hit on May 4th via Ipecac Recordings.

Yeeeeeeeesssssssssss! At last. Will it be a CD/DVD joint package?
If so, then the CD version may have the extra tracks on it.

not sure if there is a bonus DVD but I really hope so!! he has talked about a DVD before, when he stopped the site from streaming the Amsterdam show he said he was doing that because he wanted to release a DVD of it. so fingers crossed

FINALLY! but I expected more songs, at least 15 tracks. Can’t wait for the live concerts he’s doing to promote this.

I was expecting a good 15 or 16 songs. Pretty disappointing.

I wonder from which concert the tracks are taken from? Mmm…I thought it would be a sudio recording but live is great as well. I found it strange anyway to record this in the studio. But rather short indeed….they played about 20-23 songs during the concerts.

probably mostly Amsterdam as it was pro recorded although it could be a combo of a few of them

I’ve heard that they will release a second one quite soon (dunno if it’s just a rumour or the truth, I have to check this out) but yeah, only 11 tracks!! I thought there will be at least 14-15 songs !!!

Miss Nessie – Mike did say that he hopes to bring the orchestra concert to Paris this year, because there was a mess up with a date being wrongly announced somewhere and people bought tickets for a concert that was never confirmed. Mike was in New Zealand or Australia when the Paris show was set!! He was annoyed that it was even mentioned before it was properly organized, so I am very sure that a Paris show will definitely happen this Summer. I hope so, because I am only in London, so it’s easy for me to get there.

Two years wait for a live album!? That’s very underwhelming as we’ve probably heard it all before. I have made an audio only recording of the entire Amsterdam show and it is sublime. I can’t see how 11 tracks will surpass this.
Also the omission of Adriano Celentano’s ‘Storia d’amore’ is abhorrent!
Only a bonus DVD of various shows (especially performances in Italia) would make this truly worthwhile.

Hell yes!! I think he will release it but not before 2011 I guess.
“Storia d’Amore” is missing as well, I also think that “24,000 baci” should have been in the tracklist too!!

Yes definately hoping for something more, i used to have a great audio copy of the whole amsterdam concert (sounded fantastic and there were over 20 tracks i think) SO to wait 2 years for 11 songs will be kind of disappointing unless something is different.

I was at the Amsterdam gig and it was great! The recording is floating around the internet and I’ve been listening to that for about two years now. Hopefully this record is gonna add something to the allready existing recording. I’am gonna buy it anyway….would be a nice souvenir from the live experience!

live, only 11 tracks. rather dissapointing news being that everyone already has the great sounding amsterdam show, and from what I understood he has 2 cd’s worth of songs and most have been recorded studio.

no, it’s probably right. just surprises me I guess. I was hoping for a song or 2 they did not do live.
