My buddy Heather is a great photographer and one of the reasons why I got in to photography. She also helped me out a lot with what equipment to get and stuff like that so I owe her big time.
You may know her as the administrator of www.bunglefever.com and she also maintains the ftp.bunglefever.com repository. Oh and her beardless better half runs a little place called CacaVolante.
Anyway she recently attended the Faith No More Warfield 13th and 14th shows and took some very nice photos which are now residing at her flickr. Check them out:

Introduce Yourself with both Mike and Chuck!!!
It’s the party end of the year (well it was when I started this post) and it’s time for the first ever inaugural Stubbadub top 10 albums of the year list!
Even without any significant contributions from Mike Patton this year, which can be directly attributed to a certain reunion tour, there have been many great Stubbadub related releases to tickle our ear drums.
So lets get started. Counting down from 10 to 1:
10. Zu – Carboniferous (Mike Patton) - Italian metallers Zu released their latest album Carboniferous via Mike Patton’s label Ipecac Recordings. Mike appears on a couple of tracks (Soulympics and Orc) along with Buzz from the Melvins (Chthonian).
09. Shrinebuilder – Self Titled (Dale Crover) - Featuring Dale Crover of The Melvins fame on drums and Neurosis frontman Scott Kelly on Guitar, Shrinebuilder released their stoner fueled debut album in October.
07. Jello Biafra And The Guantanamo School Of Medicine – The Audacity of Hype (Billy Gould) – The latest installment from outspoken ex-Dead Kennedys’ vocalist, Eric Reed Boucher aka Jello Biafra is a kick in the sack from start to finish. The album features Billy Gould on bass and one has to assume that he would have toured with the band if he hadn’t been side tracked by the recent reformation of Faith No More. Hopefully he can make the next tour (and they bring it to Australia )
06. Chuck Mosley and the VUA – Will Rap over Hard Rock for Food (Chuck Mosley) – It’s been a while since Chuck released anything of significance, but it was worth the wait. A good album over all and the rework of Faith No More’s We Care a Lot (Featuring special guest Mr Roddy Bottum on keys) is very interesting and worth grabbing the album for alone.
05. Umlaut – Self Titled (Bar McKinnon) – Bar’s first release since becoming an Aussie. Recently toured with Les Claypool. A very tidy album all round with some very nice Bungle-esque/Secret Chiefs 3 moments.
04. Isis – Wavering Radiant (Ipecac Recordings) – The latest installment from rockers Isis as usual does not disappoint.
02. The Fantastic Terrific Munkle – Music to Dance To (Danny Heifetz) – It is very difficult to keep up with what Danny is working on nowdays as he does not have any established online presence, but the best thing he is involved with at the moment is the Munkle band. Check this album out
01. John Zorn – O’o (Trevor Dunn) – The latest in Zorn’s “Romance” series and the follow up to 2008′s “The Dreamers”, this is an amazing record and by far my album of the year.
Hopefully next year we will see the highly anticipated release of Mike Patton’s Mondo Cane, possibly Crudo and fingers crossed another Fantomas would be most welcome.
Nice little article over at noisecreep about Chuck Mosley and the new release. It also mentions briefly his near collaboration with Faith No More on the Second Coming tour:
“I’m really mad that I didn’t have my passport because they asked me to come over and do [Peaches & Herb's] ‘Reunited’ with Patton, but I couldn’t get my passport together in time”
Nice new interview/article with Chuck Mosley over at metalinsider where he discusses things like his collaboration with Roddy Bottum, how he hooked up with Jonathon Davies and how he was invited to play with Faith No More prior to the breakup.
In a recent interview in Rolling Stone, Chuck mentioned that he was invited to take part in a duet with Mike Patton:
“They actually invited me to come out [to Europe] and sing a duet with Mike Patton. But unfortunately, my passport expired and I couldn’t get it in time.”
He also mentions Jim Martin’s sacking and talks about his new album, “Will Rap over Hard Rock for Food”.
So with the release of Chuck Mosley’s solo album “Will Rap over Hard Rock for Food” imminent, there’s a whole stack of news to report on, so I have combined it all in to an epic Chuck update.
First up, the release date has been nailed down to the 11th of August. Which brings me to the pre order!
Pre orders are available between July 28th – August 10th and come with a few bonus goodies including a personally autographed postcard and sticker along with a physical signed copy of the album and instantaneous access to a downloadable version of the album. It’s getting closer! After hearing snippets of songs from Chuck Mosley’s new album, Will Rap Over Hard Rock for Food via his vlogs and myspace, the time has almost come for the album to hit the streets.
But until then, we will have to be content with the official press release that has just been made available:
New York, NY—Rap and Rock music, though viewed through the public lens as worlds apart, are not as distant from one another as they seem. The energy, aggression, and valiant spirit make them the perfect vehicles for unabashed expression, and rap-rock veteran Chuck Mosley realizes this. He is the embodiment of the unification of these two musical forces, as well as the various musical influences he has accumulated as both an artist and an avid music fan. On August 11, he releases his first solo album Will Rap Over Hard Rock For Food via Cleveland-based label Reversed Image Unlimited.
Mosley’s return with Will Rap Over Hard Rock For Food showcases the Godfather of rap-metal seamlessly blending rock, hip-hop, metal, punk and funk. Recounting his previous work, Mosley, as he describes it, would “rant to the beat.” On his latest effort, Mosley’s musical stew combines this approach with an exploration of his vocal range. It’s apparent that he chose to let his amalgam of cultural saturations melt into this new album, which he describes as “just very normal for me.”
Will Rap… was produced by multi-platinum award-winning producer/engineer Michael Seifert (Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Fountains of Wayne, and most recently Reversed Image electro-rockers THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!). Featuring guest appearances from a cast of characters Chuck has affectionately deemed Vanduls Ugenst Allliderasy, John 5 (Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson), Roddy Bottum (Faith No More, Imperial Drag), and Michael Cartellone (Lynyrd Skynyrd) all contribute to the record. Korn frontman Jonathan Davis (courtesy of Warner Bros. Records), who attributes Mosley as a massive influence, also makes an appearance on the lead single “The Enabler”.
In the 70s, Mosley was just a kid growing up in Southern California with no limitations on his tastes in music. A musical sponge, he studied classical piano for 10 years, while soaking up influences from jazz, rock, pop, and early rap. Eventually signing on to front Faith No More, he crafted these influences to pioneer a whole new take on heavy music. Bringing the rhythm and raw emotion of rap vocals to the riff-laden, chaotic-nature of rock, Mosley became an innovator which many musical acts would emulate, including Korn, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and Kid Rock. He would later front legendary hardcore/reggae group the Bad Brains as well.
On July 28th – August 10th, fans will be able to pre-order Chuck Mosley’s Will Rap Over Hard Rock For Food CD Online at www.ReversedImageUnlimited.com <http://www.ReversedImageUnlimited.com>, and receive a personally autographed CD, plus completed download and a special edition postcard.
Reversed Image Unlimited LLC is a non-traditional, highly innovative record label featuring indie, electronic, rock and pop artists.

With all this Faith No More talk it was a given that Chuck Mosley had to make an appearance. According to his website he is currently in the studio working on a new album via Ante Up Audio along with a documentary which chronicles the new record. Great to see The Chuck is on the move again, looking forward to hear what he is doing nowdays.
Thanks to the most excellent CV for bringing us this joyous news.
