The much loved and very rare Lovage (music to make love to your old lady by) album featuring the talents of Jennifer Charles, Dan the Automator, Mike Patton and Kid Koala has just been reissued! The re-release is a two disc set with the instrumental version of the album included as the 2nd disc.
This is great news for fans who have found it exceedingly difficult to get their own copy of the album since the demise of the Automator’s 75Ark, and copies are seen on eBay for exorbitant amounts.
This also comes on the back of confirmation from Kid Koala in an interview with CoS last year that the much anticipated follow up has been recorded and is just waiting on vocals from Mike and Jennifer.
In a recent interview over at Consequence of Sound, Kid Koala has confirmed that the next Lovage album, the follow up to 2001′s Music to Make Love to your old Lady by, has been recorded and is only waiting on Jennifer (Charles) and Mike Patton to finish it off:
“The Lovage music is done for the most part but we’re just waiting for Mike and Jennifer to get together and write again. But I had so much fun on that tour. I hope they finish it soon (laughs). Dan the Automator is part of it as well, of course. But I haven’t heard any new Peeping Tom stuff yet.”
Crudo video for “let’s Go” video features Jackie Chan and Daniel Wu and is featured in the banned in China movie “the shinjuku Incident” Check it out and see some of the action you can’t see in China.
Crudo is Mike Patton and Dan the Automator’s latest collaboration due out sometime this year
So it looks like Crudo have debuted the track “Let’s Go” on their myspace page. On first listen I thought it sounded eerily similar to his General Patton work.
According to patton archivo this song was played live by Peeping Tom last year a couple of times. He has links to a couple of youtube videos of the song being played by Peeping Tom as well.
Their myspace also has a few new Crudo promo pics:
“Wanna hear a secret? The new band, Crudo, is playing a top secret warm up show in San Francisco at Great American Music Hall on Thursday May 22nd and tix just went on sale. This will be the first ever appearance of the Mike Patton/Dan the Automator project. It is the warm up show for their appearance at the Sasquatch festival at the Gorge in Washington on May 24th. No word on where or when the record will be released but should be fun live. Be the first to witness Crudo!!!!!”
Pretty brief and underwhelming interview, and those characters are kind of annoying…..

the age old FNM question was asked yet again. if the money was “insane” a Faith no More reunion may happen, but he doesnt see any musical reason for it
