Dillinger are currently in the studio recording their latest album, Option Paralyisis, and they have started releasing a few inside the studio vids. From the snippets on the vids the new record sounds like it is shaping up to be kickass.

The Dillinger Escape Plan have recently been added to the bill for the Australian festival Soundwave in 2009. Nothing official has been announced by Soundwave yet but the news was recently posted on DEP‘S Myspace. They will join headliners Nine Inch Nails and Alice in Chains along with many other bands.

Dillinger Escape Plan will re-release their breakthrough EP Under the Running Board on the 14th of October, almost 10 years after the original release. The EP features original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis and will come bundled with 10 bonus tracks.

Rumour is circulating that Gil Sharone has decided to leave the Dillinger Escape Plan to focus on his original band Stolen Babies. The band have not confirmed or denied the rumour as yet but according to Metal Hammer have been rehearsing with Terry Bozio’s son Raanen Bozzio.

Jeff Caxide of Isis and Greg Puciato of the Dillinger Escape Plan have joined new band Spylacopa, formed by John LaMacchia of Candiria. Also joining them is Julie Christmas of Made out of Babies. They will be releasing an EP together later this year along with the possibility of a tour.
