On June 19 Mike Patton returned to the Holland Festival to perform Luciano Berio’s Laborintus II. Thanks to the MP Chile community we now have download links to a DVD version of the show:

I haven’t come across this before in my travels, apologies if it is old news. You can download a ‘DVD’ of the 2007 Mike Patton and Christian Fennesz show in Switzerland. Patton Archivo has all the info and download links.

Thanks to my buddy Mike at Atomic Basement (KOWH Comic book! Duh!), we have some semi official confirmation that the Amsterdam Mondo Cane concert originally streamed on the FabChannel website (RIP) in 2008, will be released sometime in the (near?) future.
According to the solicitation promo material made available recently for the Mondo Cane album, there will be “an upcoming DVD which will feature a live performance of Mondo Cane in Amsterdam”.
This is great news! Hopefully it will feature the entire concert, and not just a smattering of songs from the show like the soon to be released Mondo Cane album.

“Hey, all you Dvd craving peeps. Here is a cool one for you. We had a very special live performance of the Fantômas Melvins Big Band taped a couple years ago in England and it came out GREAT. The band ripped that night and friends of ours fancied up the footage and alas a Big Band Dvd is out everywhere now. We hope to do more of these as well.
Who knows when or if this group of musicians will play together again, it is a great souvenir of 2 bands joining forces to play each others songs.
As a bonus, we even did a top secret commentary track, where limoncello aficionado, Danny DeVito and friends like Dale & Buzz from the Melvins break down the concert to give you behind the scenes insight into the show. (well, that is what they were supposed to do, but they get a little side tracked)”
There is also a snippet from the DVD on the new ipecac site

The Fantomas Melvins DVD – Live from London 2006 is due out on the 26th of August and from all accounts it is well worth the wait. If you’re a fan make sure you grab a copy
if not for the concert, for the rambling and mostly unrelated commentary featuring among others, Ipecac’s good buddy Danny Devito.

A double DVD featuring Tawd Dorenfeld’s newest creation, a stop-motion animation called Aylaqruh:hurqalyA along with the full show from the Secret Chiefs 3 live at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco filmed on the 3rd of June 2007 is to be released through Web of Mimicry later this year. The film also features the SC3 live as the soundtrack.
Based on the trailers this looks like it should be a very interesting release. Tawd is also responsible for the dark film The Anna Cabrini Chronicles.
