The next installment of John Zorn’s Moonchild series and the follow-up to 2008′s The Crucible, Ipsissimus has just been released via Tzadik. Featuring Mike Patton, John Zorn, Trevor Dunn, Joey Baron and Marc Ribot, the Moonchild series is in my opinion one of the most interesting collections of music to appear on the label, and Ipsissimus is sure to not disappoint:

Mondo Cane – Italian 50′s & 60′s pop covers ftr Mike Patton, Aldo Sisillo and Roy Paci. Speculation on whether this is to be a live or studio recording but it’s rumoured to be a studio album.
