Richard Foreman is one of the most important theatre directors in the world, and has been a personal hero of John Zorn’s for over 30 years. These two masters of the bizarre have now collaborated on a theatre/music piece and it is opening on February 5th at the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre at St Marks in the Bowery, New York City. This is one of those things that can only happen downtown—independent of any special grants, funding, institution or administration. ASTRONOME is the intense second CD featuring Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn and Joey Baron, and Richard Foreman’s staging of it is absolutely stunning.
