Trevor Dunn on Mr Bungle Reunion in Rock-a-Rolla

gronk

The latest issue of Rock-a-rolla magazine has a new interview with Trevor Dunn talking to him about his latest band Madlove. They posted a snippet of the article on their home page which paints a rather dire picture regarding any hopes of a Bungle reunion ever happening:

Faith No More have done it, but those expecting a Mr. Bungle reunion shouldn’t hold their breath – unless, of course, they can hold it for a really, really long time. “I don’t think it’s gonna happen unfortunately” bassist Trevor Dunn told Rock-A-Rolla. “I mean, I say unfortunately on behalf of people who want it to happen – I actually don’t want it to happen.” Dunn, who recently released the debut album with his brand new band MadLove, talked to us about his current projects and the joys of playing “traditional rock music”. Check out the full interview in the latest issue of Rock-A-Rolla Magazine, out now.”

Although Trevor does not seem interested in a Bungle reunion, Bar and Danny have both expressed interest in working with the bungle guys again one day, so anything is possible.

Check out the latest issue of rock-a-rolla for the whole article plus interviews with Jello Biafra and Chuck Mosley.

Oooooooh such a pity !! Wish I could see them in live once. It’s really too sad for the Bunglitos and Bunglitas all around the world but MadLove is anyway a great project !!! Greetings :-)

Well I don’t think we should take Trevor’s words as a dogma. Things tend to change, and minds may change. How insistent was Patton against FNM reunion? Now he spends half a year in tour with the band.
Everyone would love to see Mr.Bungle live! Especially those who have never seen (like me!).
However, their solo projects are also worth time spent. Mad Love is brilliant, just in time for a thoughtful autumn. Umlaut is the most bunglesque, I think. The only problem is in finding it in Moscow or elsewhere.
So any outcome in principle is good!

Trevor’s a great bass player, but he’s quite the grumpy buzzkill.

      haha nice one,

I kind of don’t want it to happen. Its like, a tv show that is awesome but gets cancelled after 1 or a few seasons. You’d love a reunion, but don’t want to spoil it just in case its not as good as the original.

Patton/Dunn and Spruance need to hug it out then have a jam.

Not a Bungle reunion so much, but the three of them need to make some tunes innit.

    • Carl! Says:

So.. Does anyone know why both trey, trevor and mike are “against” a reunion? I mean Patton works with Dunn in Fantomas, Dunn works with trevor in secret chiefs 3.. So.. Is the fuzz between patton and sprudance?
